About SNIC
The Social Network Innovation Center (SNIC) at the National University of Kaohsiung (NUK) was established under the College of Management in accordance with the university’s Regulations for Establishing Research Centers. Its primary mission is to strengthen the university’s research capabilities in the field of social networks.
SNIC serves as a collaborative platform integrating the expertise and practical experiences of industry, government, and academia, supporting interdisciplinary exchanges among domestic and international scholars. Through this platform, the center aims to enhance and enrich the university’s educational and research resources in areas related to social network analysis, information technology applications, and social sciences.
Key Functions and Roles

Research Advancement:
SNIC promotes social network–related research by integrating interdisciplinary perspectives across information management, social sciences, business administration, and technological applications. -
Academic Exchange Platform:
The center provides an open forum for scholars and researchers—both within NUK and internationally—to engage in dialogue, fostering cross-institutional and cross-border collaboration. -
Industry–Academia Collaboration:
SNIC works with industry partners, government agencies, and organizations to apply research outcomes to practice, including policy recommendations, social design, and information system planning. -
Educational Support:
The center enhances teaching resources in areas such as social networks, information management, and social sciences, supporting both faculty and student development in these emerging interdisciplinary fields.
Recent Activities
SNIC collaborates with the Taiwan Society for Social Networks and participates in international academic communities. It is involved in the organization of MISNC 2025, a multidisciplinary international conference covering topics such as social network analysis, information technology applications, business management, and social sciences. This reflects the center’s active engagement in global academic dialogues.
